HCSE, Inc. provided full design, structural engineering, and construction administration for a new 400 square foot garage addition. An interesting note about this project was the close collaboration with the client using BIM. The garage is located at the rear of the existing residence and locating the ideal location presented many challenges. One was the existing pool which lies in the center of the back yard. To work around this, HCSE, Inc. designed a retaining wall to help support a new driveway for the garage entry.

This residence is a historic building so maintaining the aesthetic appeal was essential. The duplex is now converted into a single family residence with a series of bedrooms. During construction the home was raised and supported on cribbing while the basement was excavated

In this method of construction, the residence is essentially constructed off site and brought to the job site in pieces.

HCSE, Inc. Provided structural observation and investigation for an existing vehicle bridge. The bridge deteriorated over time and was presenting structural safety concerns.
